Ophthalmology Ward
In the case of birds that are highly dependent on their vision, but also reptiles, amphibians and fish, eye diseases represent a significant impairment in their ability to interact with mates, search for food and - in the case of birds - to fly.
This may be associated with a reduction in vision and can result in severe pain, thereby greatly affecting the quality of life of the affected animals. It is therefore important to detect and treat diseases of the eye.
At our clinic we have been internationally recognised as specialists since 1986 in the field of ophthalmology.
We offer the following in the ophthalmology ward of our clinic using the most updated techniques including ultrasound, optical coherence tomography and more:
- Examinations
of the cornea, anterior chamber of the eye and lens
of the ocular fundus
assessment of vision - examinations and treatments of eye injuries
- surgical and medical treatment of eye diseases
Modern technology is available if required, with digital laser ophthalmoscopy, optical coherence tomography and ultrasonography.
